Epoxy Garage Floors in the Lehigh Valley, PA

Bare concrete stains, dusts and cracks. A professionally installed epoxy floor turns your garage into the best-looking room in the house — ground, repaired, coated and flake-finished to handle hot tires, road salt and everything Pennsylvania throws at it.

It Starts With the Grinder, Not the Coating

Ask anyone whose garage floor peeled within a year what went wrong and the answer is almost never the epoxy — it is the prep that got skipped. Coatings do not bond to smooth, sealed, dirty concrete; they sit on top of it until a hot tire or a freeze-thaw cycle lifts them. So every floor we coat gets diamond ground first, opening the surface of the concrete so the system locks in mechanically instead of hoping adhesion happens. Cracks, chips and spalls get repaired, and the slab gets a moisture check before anything goes down — trapped vapor is the silent killer of floor coatings, and we would rather find it in testing than have you find it in blisters.

  • Diamond grinding on every floor — real surface prep, not an acid wash and a prayer
  • Crack, chip and spall repair worked in before the coating starts
  • Moisture testing — no system goes down over a wet slab
  • Sherwin-Williams Resuflor system — primer, body coat tinted to your color choice, and a clear Glaze topcoat
  • Full flake broadcast — wall-to-wall coverage, not a light sprinkle
  • Durable clear topcoat that seals the flake and takes the abuse

Garages are the main event, but the same system belongs anywhere bare concrete is letting you down: basements that dust and stain, workshops, and commercial floors that need to look sharp and mop clean. If it is a concrete slab and you are tired of looking at it, it is a candidate.

The system

Three Layers, One Floor

The base coat. Once the slab is ground, repaired and cleared on moisture, the coating system goes down. We install the Sherwin-Williams Resuflor high-performance epoxy system: a Resuflor WB primer seals the ground slab first, then the Resuflor MPE body coat goes down and keys into the opened concrete. This is the layer that does the holding — it is why a ground floor outlasts a kit floor by years instead of months.

The flake broadcast. While the base is still wet, decorative flake is broadcast across the entire floor to full coverage — every square inch, edge to edge. The flake is not decoration sprinkled on top; it becomes part of the floor’s body, adding texture, hiding the small imperfections every slab has, and giving the finished floor its depth.

The clear topcoat. Excess flake is scraped and vacuumed, then a durable clear topcoat — Resuflor Glaze — seals the whole system. This is the layer that earns its keep daily: it resists hot-tire pickup where lesser coatings lift, shrugs off road salt, oil, gas and chemicals that permanently stain bare concrete, and turns cleanup into a broom and a hose instead of a pressure washer and a Saturday. The result is a floor with a genuine showroom look that still works like a garage.

The premium finish

Custom Marble-Style Flake

Standard flake blends look good. Custom marble-style flake is the one people walk into the garage and ask about. Instead of a single uniform chip blend, marble-style systems layer colors so the finished floor reads like polished stone — soft veining, depth, and movement across the whole slab, with no two floors coming out exactly alike. It is the finish that turns a garage from a place you park into a room you show people: the car, the bikes, and the tools all look better sitting on it.

Because the look is built from the flake blend itself — not a pattern printed on top — it holds up the same way the standard system does: same ground prep, same base coat, same protective clear on top. You pick the color family, we build the blend, and the floor comes out one of a kind. If you want the garage to be the best-looking room in the house, this is the option to ask about.

More than floors

Epoxy Beyond Floors

The same resin systems that go on a garage floor do a lot more than floors. Wherever a surface needs to be hard, seamless and good-looking, epoxy is usually the answer — and it lets us build finishes no slab of stone or piece of wood could give you on its own.

Metallic Marble-Look Floors

Metallic epoxy is a different animal from flake. The pigments are worked into the coating as it goes down, so the finished floor swirls and moves like polished stone — and no two floors ever come out the same. It is a strong fit for basements, rec rooms and commercial spaces that want a floor people actually notice.

Epoxy Countertops

Epoxy countertops put that same metallic marble look on a kitchen counter or bathroom vanity. The system goes over the existing top, so a dated, worn counter becomes a one-of-a-kind stone-look surface — without tearing the old one out first.

Live-Edge Epoxy Tops

For bar tops and tables, we flood-coat live-edge wood slabs in clear epoxy. The gloss coat seals and protects the wood, keeps the natural edge front and center, and leaves a finish that wipes clean and holds up to daily use.

Recent work — North Catasauqua, PA

A North Catty Garage, Marble-Flake Finished

Our most recent epoxy job: a residential garage in North Catasauqua, taken from bare, everyday concrete to a custom marble-style flake floor — diamond ground, cracks repaired, epoxy base, full marble-flake broadcast, and a clear topcoat to seal it. It is the job we point to when someone asks what the premium finish actually looks like in a real Lehigh Valley garage instead of a brochure.

Recent epoxy work

Recent Epoxy Work — Garages, Shops, Barns & Basements

Garages are where most of our epoxy work happens, but the same ground-prep-and-system approach scales — a pole barn shop floor taken from bare concrete through the flake broadcast to the finished floor, and a basement sealed in solid gray.

Our process

How an Epoxy Floor Runs

Grind & Repair

The slab gets diamond ground to open the concrete, then cracks, chips and spalls are repaired so the finish reads clean and even.

Moisture Check & Base Coat

We test the slab for moisture before coating — never over a wet floor — then the epoxy base coat goes down and keys into the ground surface.

Full Flake Broadcast

Flake is broadcast wall-to-wall into the wet base to full coverage — standard blends, or a custom marble-style blend built for your floor.

Seal, Topcoat & Cure

Excess flake is scraped and cleaned, the durable clear topcoat seals the system, and we leave you a clear cure timeline — when to walk on it, when to park on it.

FAQ

Epoxy Floor Questions

Easier than the bare concrete you have now. Sweep or blow it out, mop with a mild cleaner when it needs it, and wipe up oil or chemical spills as they happen — they sit on the topcoat instead of soaking in. No waxing, no sealing schedule, no concrete dust tracked into the house.
Foot traffic comes first, vehicles only after the full cure. The exact timing depends on conditions, and we leave you the schedule in writing before we go — no guessing, and no tires on it early because the driveway looked empty.
Hot-tire pickup is the classic failure of thin, poorly prepped coatings. A system that is diamond ground and properly cured is built to resist it — that is exactly why the grinding step is never optional on our floors.
Usually, yes — crack and chip repair is step one of the process, and the full flake broadcast hides a lot of a slab’s history. If a floor is genuinely too far gone, we will tell you that straight at the estimate instead of coating over a problem.
Yes. The same prep-and-system approach works in basements, workshops and commercial spaces — anywhere a sealed, easy-clean, good-looking concrete floor makes the space better. Moisture testing matters even more below grade, and we do it on every job.
